If you are a geek and you know it, clap your hands!

So, I'm a geek, I know it. Here's the proof. I spent the past week re-reading the first 5 books in a series so that I could read the new (to me) number 6. I will do this for almost every series. It's a sickness I tell you.

Zalebaby just laughs at me. "At least you get your money's worth out of your books."

There are only 2 series that I collect that I won't re-read the entire collection, The Eve Dallas series by JD Robb and the Honor Harrington series by David Weber. Both are simply to big to re-read all the books before my desire to read the newest overwhelms me.

One of my favorite things to have happen, is to find a new-to-me author that I love, who has a large collection of books published, so I can delve into their worlds and enjoy the stories, without having to wait for the next book to be published. Talk about being a literary addict......there are worse things to be addicted to, ya know?

So I'm a geek too. I always re-read the previous books when the new one comes out. And there are book at my house that get read over and over.

I also keep a notepad and pen handy when I read. - I record quotes that strike me. Since technical writing has been a career in the past - I even keep the author and the book notes so I can accurately refer to them.

I'm a geek too.

I never read. Who has time to read?

I make time to read -- my house is just messy!

There are so many series to recommend, I can barely contain myself. I will say that I read a series as a kid -- the Betsy-Tacy books by Maud Hart Lovelace -- that I read again to this day. Just love them. The Beany Malone books are also still on my bookshelf.

I can recommend a trilogy for you -- that's three books to keep you busy! It's The Osgood Trilogy by Mary E. Martin. The J.D. Robb books are mysteries (albeit futuristic ones) -- these are legal suspense, with literary style and flair. Lawyer Harry Jenkins is the main character, and Martin surrounds him with some really original (and creepy) adversaries. The plots are intricate and interwoven; these are really a good read. Enjoy

And have you ever read the Thomas Lynley books by Elizabeth George? She has a new one coming out in a few weeks, but if you start at the beginning, you won't get to the new one for months. Great books.

Woot! New books to look for! I can't wait.

Christy, I'm like Liz, I let the house slide to get my reading time in...but I don't have 2 under 2 to keep me busy (yet....I'm still hoping for to grow one or two of my own)
